Ed Moxon Ph.D. Chatham Marconi

Cape Cod has some important early radio history that has been told and retold, sometimes getting better or worse in the process.  Along with Dr. Edwin (Ed) Moxon, we will take a look at some local radio lore and sort out a few “mythconceptions” that have become common knowledge.  He will speak on Thursday, February 2 at 7:00 PM Eastern, in person at the Chatham Marconi Maritime Center in North Chatham, Mass., and livestreamed via Zoom webinar.

Ed Moxon is a retired electrical engineer who returned to the Cape in 2004 after a career in research and manufacturing.  He holds a Ph.D. from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the field of communication, and has a keen interest in the history of radio and of Chatham Radio WCC.  Ed joined Chatham Marconi in 2003, was first elected a Director in 2005, and served as Secretary from 2007 to 2010.  His research into wireless history and technology and his authoritative exhibit preparation represent major contributions to the development and success of the Marconi-RCA Wireless Museum.
