NEARFest
NEAR-Fest (Fall)
Many BARC members will be in attendance, so if you are considering making the trip ask around, and you may be able to carpool (if you want). This is a multiple-day event, but the primary buy/sell day starts early on Friday. If you plan on only attending one day, Friday is the day. If you are coming up on Saturday, plan on arriving first thing in the morning as some sellers start packing up early, around noon, even though the Fest ends at 2 PM.
Friday evening, we are planning on having dinner out at the Tuckaway Tavern. After that, it's movie time. If you have any requests, please send them to N1ZPO before Wednesday, and we will pick the movie at the event.
WEATHER INFO:
It can be hot and cold on the same day! Bring a warm set of clothing if you plan on staying in the evening!
Camping:
You can camp at the Fest. (in the same spot you sell)
Thursday camping is in the lot outside the gates, Friday you will move inside the gates. More info on the NEAR-Fest site.
Hotels:
Many will choose to stay in a hotel in Manchester (about 30 min. West), have a look at the NEAR-Fest website for special rates and more info on hotels.
