Brooks Park Festivals Harwich
BARC will be operating at the Brooks Park Festivals in Harwich July 9-10 and August 13-14. This is an opportunity for club visibility/public relations and for member recruitment, as well as fun, fellowship and operating.
We need volunteers!
We plan to set up an HF transceiver (at least) and supporting equipment under a pop-up canopy. The festivals run 9AM-4PM Saturday and Sunday, with setup Friday afternoon.
We will need to start at about 7:30 on Saturday and Sunday and stay for another hour or so after 4 to disassemble.
For staffing, we’ll need 4 people or so on Friday, and on operating days we’ll need 3-4 people on site at all times, working shifts of perhaps 3-4 hours.
The July event is 2 weeks after Field Day, so you’ll have an opportunity to carry over you ham enthusiasm along with your newly honed operating and public relations skills.
This year the events will be held in Brooks Park on Oak Street in Harwich, at the northeast corner Main Street. They are well-attended arts & crafts fairs.
Please contact Jon N1ILZ (n1ilz@arrl.net) to volunteer. He will be scheduling for the July 9-10 event first.
